Team India’s senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is all set for his much-awaited comeback after a long absence. Jadeja, who has been named in the Indian squad for Ind vs Aus first two Tests, will play for the Saurashtra team in Ranji Trophy to prove his fitness. The match between Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu will start from January 24 at Chennai’s iconic Chepauk Stadium, Tuesday. Jadeja, who plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), arrived in the capital city of Tamil Nadu on Sunday and marked his return to the city by posting a two-word tweet. “Vanakkam Chennai,” wrote the senior India player on Twitter. Jadeja will be playing a match in Ranji Trophy after 2018.

It has been more than five months now since Jadeja last played international cricket. India vs Hong Kong match in the Asia Cup 2022 was the last time he played a match for the national team. It was during the Asia Cup, Jadeja sustained a knee injury and then had a successful surgery. The all-rounder has been posting videos to update fans about his recovery.
A four-match Test series is to be held between India and Australia in the month of February-March. If India beats Australia at home, they will make it to the final of the World Test Championship. BCCI named Jadeja in Indian squad for first two Tests against Australia but also asked him to prove his fitness through Ranji Trophy.
