Pakistan vs New Zealand: Pakistan cricket team’s bowling attack, in their ongoing home season, has looked clueless and weak in absence of their leading pacer Shaheen Afridi. The hosts are currently engaged in a two-match Test series against New Zealand.

PAK vs NZ 1st Test ended in a draw and both teams are currently playing the 2nd Test in Karachi’s National Stadium. So far in the homes season, Pakistan has played five matches, including the ongoing PAK vs NZ 2nd Test, and lost three of those five. They recently suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss against England in Tests.

Pakistani pacers could not take five wickets in an innings on a single occasion in the year 2023. Apart from Naseem Shah (9 wickets in two Test matches on flat pitches), none of the bowlers have managed to deliver in the ongoing Test series being played against New Zealand and are struggling for wickets.

Meanwhile, a video from a press conference, featuring Pakistan’s bowling coach Shaun Tait has gone viral on the internet. Things got a bit heated up during the presser when coach Tait Pakistani got involved in an argument with multiple Pakistani journalists on Thursday. The veteran faced heat from angry reporters who weren’t happy with Pakistan’s ordinary on-field display.

“Poor performances in five Test matches by Pakistani fast bowlers and inconsistent performances by the spinners. How can you justify the overall performance in this home season?,” a journalist asked Tait, to which he replied, “That’s your opinion.”

Tait got a bit annoyed when another journalist said that it is the common opinion of entire Pakistan.

“It is the opinion of the entire nation of Pakistan. They think Pakistan’s fast bowlers did not bowl well. But I am asking you, are you satisfied with your performances as Pakistan bowling coach?” said the journalist.

“You are answering the question before you ask it. That is your opinion. You are saying the performances have been poor. Ok, that is your opinion, what would you like me to say?” Tait replied.
