Union Home Minister Amit Shah invited people to reserve their tickets for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by January 1, 2024, while speaking at a public event in poll-bound Tripura on Thursday.

In a jab at the Congress, the union home minister stated that Congressmen have been attempting to derail the Ram Mandir issue since the country’s independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, arrived one morning after the Supreme Court’s verdict and commenced the building of the temple after completing the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Poojan on the same day.

The home minister further said that the communists ruled the state for three decades but did not fix any of the problems. Congress has departed from the country, while Communists have departed from the world. The assembly elections in the northeastern state are scheduled for March 2023.

He said that the BJP-led government in Tripura has eradicated terrorism and brought about overall prosperity in the northeastern state.

Addressing a public rally in Dharmanagar, Shah further stated that people’s immense affection and faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi plainly signal that the BJP will form government in Tripura once more.

“Through peace talks with the NLFT (National Liberation Front of Tripura), we have put an end to terrorism and resettled internally displaced Brus in the state,” he said, according to the news agency PTI.

He further said that the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ has been initiated to ensure Tripura’s holistic development.

“We are marching with the goal of bringing the state up to speed with industries, and people should know the state as Advanced Tripura, Best Tripura, and Prosperous Tripura (Unnat Tripura, Shreshth Tripura, Samruddha Tripura),” news agency ANI quoted him as saying.

The home minister is in Tripura to launch two BJP rath yatras to highlight the achievements of the state government ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections.

“The Tripura, which was once known for drug trafficking, violence, and massive anti-national activities, is now known for development, excellent infrastructure, achievements in sports, rising investments, and organic farming activities,”  Shah remarked.

The 2023 Tripura Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held by March 2023 to elect all 60 members of the Tripura Legislative Assembly.

The Tripura BJP intends to launch the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ campaign in order to increase the party’s support base in the state. JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP, will address the crowds on the final day of the yatra on January 12.
