India star wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant had a major accident last week. The accident transpired on the Delhi-Dehradun highway when he tried to avoid a pothole on the car which led to the horrific accident in the early hours of Friday. He suffered injuries and underwent plastic surgery.

On Tuesday, the Indian cricket team’s head coach Rahul Dravid posted a heartwarming message for Pant’s recovery.  Rahul Dravid said, “Rishabh, hope you are doing well. Hope you get well soon. Over the last one year, I have had the privilege of watching you play some of the greatest innings in Indian Test history. Whenever we have been in difficult situations, you have got the character to get ourselves out of these difficult situations. This is one such challenge, I know you are gonna bounce back like you have done so many times…”.

Earlier, actors like Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher also went to the Dehradun Hospital where cricketer Rishabh Pant is being treated to know about his condition. After the cricketer was injured in a deadly car accident, the two Bollywood celebrities paid him a visit on Saturday and confirmed he is “stable.”

Rishabh Pant was saved by bus conductor Paramjeet and driver Sushil Kumar, who reported that the cricketer’s car caught fire 5-7 seconds after they got him out.

“As we dragged him (Rishabh Pant) out, the car caught fire & burned down within 5-7 secs. He had major injuries on his back. We enquired about his personal information & that is when he said he is an Indian team cricketer,” Paramjeet told ANI.
