New Delhi: Indian cricket player Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident on Friday. His car met with an accident on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal. Pant has been referred to Delhi. He will undergo plastic surgery there. The accident took place as Pant fell asleep while driving.

The car caught fire after the accident. He has been admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradoon. He was given treatment at Roorkee Civil Hospital. Pant’s condition is normal at the moment. The state government will bear expenses of Rishabh Pant’s treatment.

“Cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district. He has been shifted to Max Hospital Dehradun after giving primary treatment at Roorkee Civil Hospital. Accident took place on NH-58 of Manglaur PS area,” news agency quoted SP Dehat Swapan Kishore as saying.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has, meanwhile, assured that all healthcare facilities will be taken care of the state’s brand ambassador. Notably, CM Dhami had announced in August Pant as Uttarakhand’s official brand ambassador. “Cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident near Roorkee today. He is being taken to Dehradun for further treatment. All the healthcare facilities will be taken care of. We pray for his speedy recovery,” Pant was quoted as saying by News Agency ANI.
